A Novel Nut Experiment
Coula nuts that are not available in the forest of Bossou were provided by researchers. A female used stone tools to crack them open like oil palm nuts and this behavior was transmitted to group mates.

ボッソウにはないクーラのナッツを実験的に与えてみます。ある女性チンパンジーが、馴染みのアブラヤシと同じようにクーラのナッツを割って食べました。やがてこの行動は仲間たちに広まっていきました。
